Title: Senior Chemist |
Job Summary Perform analytical testing on solid state doses of pharmaceutical products. Have knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures used within a Laboratory. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job.

Responsibilities
- Testing pharmaceutical products using standard analytical methods such as assay, related substances and dissolution
- Perform analysis utilizing Dissolution Apparatus I and II, FTIR, KF, TLC and HPLC
- Maintain a neat and accurate notebook in accordance with FDA guidelines
- Review and audit work of colleagues
- Obtain comprehensive understanding of cGMP’s, GLP’s and use of USP methods in the Laboratory
- Perform method transfer and analytical validations
- Attend appropriate training seminars, courses and meetings
- Serve on a Laboratory committee
- Participate and successfully complete all training as required by the company
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Bio-Chemistry or related scientific field
- 4+ years’ experience as a Chemist or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Pharmaceutical experience is highly desired
- Proficient in HPLC, UV and GC
- Strong auditing skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Able to work in a team environment
- Cooperative and flexible attitude
- Ability to train others
- Knowledge of general ICH guidelines and general USP Chapters
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and business-related application packages such as Empower or similar software, plus the ability to learn company-used applications.
